The MiG-AT trainer is a multi-role trainer aircraft. It provides basic, general and advanced levels of pilot training, allows in-service pilots to maintain their skills, and offers hands-on experience for day/night combat operations and in all weather conditions.

MiG-AT is being developed and manufactured in the framework of international project involving the French SNECMA engine manufacturer and France’s Sextant Avionics.

In addition to its trainer versions, the MiG-AT family aircraft can be used as light tactical fighters (air combat missions, ground attack missions), in naval versions (for naval pilot training, combat mission flown from carriers), and as combat air patrol aircraft (offshore CAP missions and SAR operations).

In cooperation with Russian manufacturers, MiG-AT derivatives have been developed with Russian-built RD-1700 engines and equipped with Russian avionics.
