The Lukhovitsy Component and Aircraft Assembly Plant is a state-of-the-art, high capacity facility which manufactured the Ilyushin Il-28 tactical bomber and the MiG-23/MiG-27 family of fighter/strike aircraft. The facility currently is responsible for production of MiG-29 fighters. MiG Corp.’s development and restructuring plan calls for the Lukhovitsy Plant to handle final assembly of the Tu-334 airliner.
Lead-in conversion programs at Lukhovitsy Plant include series production of several small civilian aircraft, ranging from I-1L ultralight to the Il-103 four-seat general aviation aircraft.
The Lukhovitsy Plant is the home for MiG Corp.'s Flight Test Station, and includes airfield facilities. The MiG Corp.'s Training Center currently is being established here. To provide efficient customer support for airline clients, MiG Corp.'s restructuring plan includes development of a modern mock-up center at the Lukhovitsy plant.
