Description
Fly-by-wire control system EDSU-200
The redundant digital-analog fly-by-wire control system is developed for the Be-200 amphibian equipping and provides aircraft fly-by-wire control; it implements following functions:
In the main operation mode
• required characteristics of stability and controllability in manual control;
• automatic prevention of the aircraft recovery to preset restrictions on motion parameters;
• automatic and manual trim in the longitudinal channel;
• automatic and manual control of flaps and slats;
• automated built-in check while operational aircraft preparation to determine failures up to a plug-in unit level without ground-checkout equipment using.
In the main and backup operation modes
• capability of theaircraft control either by both pilots or by one of them only;
• manual or automatic deflection of brake flaps;
• manual force trimming in the lateral channel and yaw control one;
• yaw damping;
• pitch damping by motion in water surface contact;
• capability of restart a failed subchannel in case of a false failure;
• continuous in-flight monitoring of EDSU serviceability with automatic disconnection of a failed subchannel and failure information output;
• forming information about the system state, all-moving surfaces position, preparatory operations execution.
In the backup operation mode
• acceptable characteristics of stability and controllability in manual control;
• manual trim in the longitudinal channel.
Specifications

power supply are engaged, min no more than 3
Time of FBWCS continuous operation, hr no less than 8
The FBWCS power supply is taken from two independent dc sources with nominal voltage of 27 V working in a buffer with storage batteries and from two independent three-phase ac sources with voltage of 115/200 V and frequency of 400 Hz
DC power consumption shall be no more than 800 W, AC power consumption - no more than 20 W.
DC power consumption from storage batteries in case of the main power source failure shall not exceed 600 W.
FBWCS hydrosupply is taken from three independent hydraulic systems with tube pressure of 21 MPa (210 kgf/cm2)
