Rockot, a lightweight launch vehicle, is based on the two-stage RS 18 IBM (also known as SS 19) and is designed to inject satellites weighing up to 2000 kg to low-earth orbits (LEOs).
Two commercial Rockot launches have been carried out in 2002 to inject two Grace research satellites and two Iridium telecommunications satellites into their target orbits.
