Cooperation with Republic of Uzbekistan

Two meetings were held between KhSC and the Uzbek State Space Research Agency (’Uzbekkosmos’) in 2001. A Memorandum of Understanding was signed at the latest and top-level meeting. This Memorandum outlines a framework for cooperation in setting up the Space Communications and Earth’s Observation System of the Republic of Uzbekistan based upon KhSC small communications satellites.

Program of Cooperation with Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela

A KhSC delegation headed by KhSC Director General went to Venezuela in October 2001 and there they pay a visit to Hugo Chavez, President of the Republic. In the course of bilateral negotiations an interest was expressed in cooperation in (1) setting up the Space Communications and Earth’s Observation System of the Republic of Venezuela based upon KhSC small communications satellites and (2) a light-weight LV launch base project.
