VSMPO has the following production facilities:
-Melting facility: is the world’s largest facility equipped with the unique 10,000 ton presses for compaction of large electrodes up to 10,000 kg in weight, vacuum-arc furnaces including scull furnaces that allow melting titanium ingot with diameter from 400 mm up to 1150 mm and weight up to 18,000 kg. A new plasma-arc cold hearth furnace advances increased metal quality, reliability, and lifetime.
-Press forging facility: is equipped with forging and die-forging hammers, forging presses with the capacity up to 6,000 ton, 800 ton radial forging machine, a number of die-forging presses, including two 30,000 ton presses and the world’s largest 75,000 ton press. The available equipment, state-of-the-art design and simulation processes and up-to-date tool-making facility allow us to continually increase production efficiency.
-Flat-rolling facility: is equipped with hot, warm and cold rolling mills for production of plate, coil, sheet, strip, foil, SPF sheet. It also has straightening, heat-treatment, grinding, pickling and ultrasonic equipment available.
-Bar-rolling facility: is equipped with the unique reversing radial-shear rolling mill, section mill and radial-rolling mills. Rolled bars are subject to the complete processing cycle including hot straightening, machining and ultrasonic testing according to specifications with the strictest requirements.
-Tube-making facility: is equipped with a number of hydraulic presses, helical rolling mill, cold-rolling mills, drawbenches, up-to-date tube-welding mills and various test facilities.
