Description: The MiG-31 Long Range Interceptor
Developed as major modification and derivative of the MiG-25, the MiG-31 long-range, two-seat fighter-interceptor not only retained the best features of the MiG-25 family but also dramatically increased its combat capabilities. The aircraft is powered by fuel-efficient D-30F turbofan and is equipped with a sophisticated weapons control system providing simultaneous tracking of several aerial threats with follow-on attack using long-range air-to-air missiles. The MiG-31 is capable of exchanging combat data between aircraft and efficiently of operating in groups during combat missions
