LEMZ participated in realisation of a series of the most important national programs, e.g. in equipping with radar facilities of automated Air Traffic Control (ATC) systems STRELA in Russia (Rostov ATC zone), in Ukraine (Kiev ATC zone) and in Byelorussia (Minsk ATC zone); in creation of a landing complex for the Soviet shuttle-spacecraft Buran ; in creation of a low altitude radar for the Air Defence Missile System S-300 PMU. The main developer of products manufactured by LEMZ is Design Bureau Lira integrated in the Research and Production Centre Utes-Radars .
LEMZ holds all types of production facilities required for the manufacturing of electronic, electrotechnical and mechanical components of complex systems, namely: foundry and press-forging, metal-working workshops, an electroplating workshop, printed circuit boards production, a workshop for production of great-size antennas, erecting and assembling workshops, modern test equipment.
