The D-436T1/T2 engine is intended to power shorthaul and medium-haul airliners TU-134M, TU-334-100, TU-334-200, TU-230 and other aircraft. The D-436T1/T2 engine is a new more powerful and efficient modification of the D-36 engine, that has been developed with regard to the international requirements for this class of engines.
D-436T1/T2 Engine Design Features: high bypass ratio, three-shaft layout with few bearings, modular construction, thrust reverser, electronic and hydromechanical engine control system, versatile engine mount.
Main Advantages Offered by D-436T1/T2 Engine: low specific fuel consumption and low specific mass, high reliability and ease of maintenance, low levels of emissions and noise, high efficiency of engine monitoring and diagnostic system.
A vast assimilation of design features of the D-36 basic engine that enjoys a long proven track record of about 5 million flight hours accumulated from extensive service on JK-42, An-72 and An-74 aircraft, guarantees reliable and durable performance of the D- 436T1/T2 engine.
The versatile mount makes it possible to use the engine in different aircraft without changing the engine design and arranging the engine under/over the wing, inside the fuselage or at both sides of the fuselage.
Experimental and design gas dynamic studies made on the D-436T1 engine have shown a 3-% fuel efficiency growth potential, using the same core. Thus, the specific fuel consumption at the maximum cruise condition will be 0.592 kg/kgf *h.
