Brief History


The State Research and Production Centre MMPP SALUT was the first in Russia to master the serial production of aircraft engines. Its glorious history dates back to 1912.

1932 - the beginning of the serial production of aircraft engines, developed by General Designer Mikulin. Some record flights and missions were completed by the airplanes ANT-4, ANT-6 (North Pole landing) and ANT-25 (Moscow-North Pole-America flight of Chkalow crew) with SALUT engines erected on them.

1947- the beginning of the serial production of the first Russian turbojet engine, developed by General Designer Lyulka.

1984 - mass production of the turbojet engine AL-31 F for the series of Sukhoi aircraft was launched. Many world records were established by these aircraft.

The plant has been dynamically developing. Today it is one of the largest Russian enterprises, which uses the most modern technologies and has a highly qualified staff.
