Series 4 SDU-10USDU-10U provide remote control of an airplane
and ensure the level of stability and controllability charac-
teristics required in longitudinal, cross-sectional, and yaw
channels. The systems are an exchange for the mechani-
cal control circuit.
Besides, to improve the airplane flight handling
characteristics at big angles of attack, they activate
the wing leading edge and slaved flaperons deflection
automatic control unit. For preventing the pilot from
exceeding limiting values of the angle of attack and accel-
eration, the SDU-10U are provided with a marginal mode
limiting automatic control unit (OPR).
Besides, the series 4 SDU-10U provides airplane stability
while in-flight refilling. The system comprise the following
channels: pitching, heading, roll, wing leading edge control
channels, flaperons control channels.

The series 3 SDU-10U is installed
on the Su-27UB(K) aircrafts.
The series 4 SDU-10U is installed
on the Su-30K, Su-ЗОМКК aircrafts.
