MAKS' 95
From MAKS history
The next air show, MAKS-95. proved the strategy to be right. The merging of exhibits and events at one location enhanced the service greatly. This, in turn, allowed participants to achieve their goals at lower cost and with higher efficiency. The MAKS organizing committee and the show administration took many steps to enhance the exhibition's infrastructure. Twelve new hospitality chalets were added, increasing total chalet space to 2400 sq. meters. Two modern central pavilion buildings with a combined covered area of 3600 sq. meters were built, increasing total exhibition space in the MAKS pavilions to 22,000 sq. meters. Compared to the previous air shows of 1992-93, the MAKS-95 salon featured more a pragmatic, commercial orientation by exhibitors and professional visitors alike. Show attendees agreed this was a clear sign that the phase of «familiarization» by Russian and Western companies had passed, and was replaced by more concrete business results — including joint projects and commercial firm commercial agreements in the Russian and CIS markets. |
