Description: In order to improve the helicopter and to satisfy the many and varied requirements of its customers Kazan Helicopters has designed several variants of the Mi-17 helicopter, and at the present time the following upgrading programmers are being implemented:
· installation of alternative auxiliary power unit, Herriet 36-150 instead of AI-9V.
· installation of X-type tail rotor
· installation of alternative FLIR (GOAS 310)
· installation of alternative power plant, PW 127 engines
· installation of new main gearbox, VR-17
· installation of guided missiles "Shturm" and "lgia" installation of alternative avionic equipment produced by "Honeywell", Goodrich", "Canadian Marconi", "Trimble Navigation", "Transicoil", "Penni&Jails".
