The interstate financial and industrial group (IFIG) "Defense systems" is created according to the intergovernmental agreement between Russian Federation and Belarus Republic from February 11, 2000.

The founders of the IFIG "Defense systems" are the leading design bureaus, enterprises of a defensive complex, commercial banks of Russia and Belarus. Among them the well-known all over the world enterprises such as the Engineering Design Bureau "Fakel", the state enterprise "Moscow Instrument Automatic Research Institute", the state enterprise "Obukhov Plant", JSC "Design Bureau Kuntsevo", the state enterprise "Komintern Plant", the state enterprise "Minsk Factory of Wheel Tractors", the 2566 electronic armament repairing plant, research-and-production enterprise "Alevkurp" and others. The managing company of IFIG is the JSC "Defense systems".
The basic purpose of creation of the "Interstate Financial and Industrial Group" is use of scientific and technical, industrial and investment potential of its participants for performance of works on creation and manufacture of high technology and competitive in the world market of patterns of the antiaircraft defense systems facilities, other kinds of double and civil purpose production.
Perspective plans of the IFIG activity include securing of export deliveries of high efficiency antiaircraft guided missile systems, automated control systems of various levels, modernization of the antiaircraft guided missile system "Pechora", rendering of a wide range of services on maintenance both repair of arms and military engineering.
The IFIG "Defense systems" is ready to develop and accomplish complex project on building and equipping of air-defense infrastructure of standard areas and object of customer countries, which provides reliable protection against modern and prospective assault means, from high-accuracy weapon to tactical and operative-tactical ballistic missiles.
The IFIG "Defense systems" is opened for cooperation. The structure of its participants can be entered by the legal persons of other states on conditions of the agreements between the parties by the participants and governments of other states.
