Multipurpose aircraft T-507

The aircraft in designed to carry passengers with luggage and cargoes (weight up to 600 kg). It can also be used as a contact, ambulance, patrolling and primary pilot training. The compartment is designed to carry 8 passengers. The luggage of the passengers is placed in the baggage com-partment, which is situated in the tail-end of the aircraft behind the salon.
According with FAR-23 and AP-23 the aircraft belongs to the normal category.

T-507 is a single-engine monoplane with the high-mounted strut-braced wing, the tail unit is of normal configuration and the landing gear is of conventional tail-wheel type with non-retractable legs.

The aircraft is fitted with one turboprop engine M-601E with three-blade propeller of adjustable pitch V-508D. Provisions can be made to install Canadian engine Pratt & Whitney rated at 750hp or Russian engine with the same power TVD-100.

The fuselage is of rectangular truss construction of elongated form with the pilot’s cabin, closed from the front with the streamline lantern. The fuselage together with the fin form united frame-work.
The wing is rectangular straight in plan, the airfoil is P-II with the relative thickness 14%, con-stant throughout all wing-span, on the cantilever of the wing wing-tips “Kogot” are mounted. The wing mechanization consists of slot flaps, divert 200 (take-off) and 400 (landing), and also drooping aileron. The horizontal stabilizer is of taper form in plane of welded construction, in the channel of the elevator the trimmer is installed.

The aircraft shows good flight qualities. It is steady in flight, easy in control and can be operated from the unprepared strips with length up to 500 meters.

The crew consists of one pilot. On the aircraft two control posts to provide the flights with long duration (up to 6 hours) with the crew consisting of two pilots. If necessary the right control post can be dismantled.

The aircraft equipment provides the possibility of day-time and night-time flight execution in any weather conditions.
The easy-off bonnets and many hatches provides easy access to the engine, all units and parts and equipment of the aircraft.
While aircraft was developed provisions have been made to install floats or skis.

While projecting units and systems of the aircraft T-507 low laboriousness (about 3500 man/hour) was taken into consideration, that is provided by use of truss structure of the fuselage and frame feathering, straight strut-braced wing with easy technology of production and absence of complicated and expensive rigging.
Main aircraft features are:

- The possibility of operating from the short unprepared and unpaved airfields;
- Easy control, that provides comfort pilotage;
- High reliability and maintainability;
- Simplicity of technological and structural decisions gives possibility of production of the aircraft by the forces and means of the repair enterprises;
- In the construction come-at-able materials are used;
- Comparatively low price.
