The main directions of the activities are designing, fabrication, overhaul, testing and certification of gas-turbine aircraft engines as well as industrial engines and also design supervision of the production and operation of these engines. The Progress ZMKB engines are operated by airlines and Air Forces is 63 countries around the world. At present Progress ZMKB carries out works on developing D-27 propfan engine powering All-70 aircraft, designing of a family of reliable and fuel efficient D-436TI/T2/TP engines for Tu-334, Be-200 aircraft and others. The TV3-1 17VMA-SBM turboprop engine has been designed in co-operation with Klimov NPP and Motor Sich JSC for a new An-140 regional aircraft. The works on designing and developing of the engines for Russian, China and Czech new trainer and business aircraft are in progress now.
