The AntonovAeronautical scientific/Technical Complex was founded in 1946 by the aircraft designer Oleg Antonov More then one Hundred types and modifications of aircraft of various classes and purposes have been designed since the date of the company's foundation. The Antonov company is engaged in designing new aircraft and developing modifications of earlier designs, ensuring their operational support and follow-up, engineering work on the aircraft service life extension, basic and conversion training of foreign airline flight and maintenance crews, international air transportation of oversize cargoes on charter basis. It sends high-skilled specialists to render assistance in mastering the aircraft and training of local personnel, participates in the international cooperation in the field of aircraft and equipment design and manufacture. Powerful engineering and research potential of the Antonov company makes it possible to introduce computer-aided techniques in design and analysis, to carry out wind tunnel testing of aircraft models; to subject all aircraft types to structural tests including such giants as the Ruslan and the Mriya; to determine their service lives and complete the aircraft development cycle with flight testing; to prove the aircraft compliance with airworthiness requirements and customer specifications.
