Sukhoy Design Bureau is a world-known aircraft company which has the main types of the tactical aircraft which enhanced the Air Forces and antiaircraft system of Russia and sport aircraft design. The company, founded in 1939 by Pavel Sukhoy. started its activity with production of Su-2 attack aircraft which successfully fought during the first years of the World War II. Before 1975. tile Design Bureau was headed by Pavel Sukhoy developed the whole family of SU-aircraft: Su-9, Su-11, Su-15 fighters; Su-7B, Su-17 fighter-bombers, Su-24 tactical bombers; T-4 super-sonic long rang bomber; Su-25 attack plane. At present lime Sukhoy Design Bureau headed by General Designer M.Simouov is successfully developing combat aircraft of new generation using the accumulated experience. In Airshow Le Bourget- 1989 tile Su-27 fighter was demonstrated for the first time. The Su-27 record-holding fighter with designation number P-42 has set 27 world records on rate-of-climb and altitude in horizontal flight. The Su-27 modification are Su-30, Su-32FN, Su-33, Su-35, Su-37 fighters. The Su-37 multi-purpose superagility fighter practically open a new era of fighter aviation in 1996. The aircraft was demonstrated during Farnborough and Seoul Airshows. Creation of Su-26, Su-29, Su-31 sport aerobatic planes, which participated in the world Championships won more 110 medals.
