Nizhny Novgorod aircraft building factory SOKOL is one of the leading in Russian aircraft industry. Since 1932 Sokol has specialized producing fighters after A.I.Mikoyan design bureau projects MiG-15, MiG-17, MiG-19, MiG-21, MiG-25. At present Sokol produces fighters MiG-29LJB, MiG-31 and makes renovation for the exploited aircraft MiG-21-BIS (MiG-21-93). In conversation programs Sokol produces: lightweights speed aircraft N- 101T GZHEL for 8 passengers; amphibian AKKORD-201 for 4 passengers; training aircraft EXCALIBUR for 4 persons; 2-seat training aircraft YAK- 130; 8 seat airsupport amphibian DINGO; 8 seat dynamic air-support amphibian motor boat VOLGA-2; navy walk underwater-wings motor boat SOKOL.
