Creating a new generation of advanced RWR meeting the enhanced requirements
Vitaly V. Slavin is one of the leading Russian specialists in passive radio detection and ranging. He is USSR State prize winner and honorary aircraft manufacturer awarded with the Badge of Honour.
Vitaly V. Slavin was born in Voscrecensk town (Moscow region) 21.10.41. After graduating from Leningrad Institute of Avionics he was accepted in the engineering stuff of Omsk Design Bureau (1964). The program he worked on - target designation equipment for anti-radiation missiles Kh-28 and Kh-25MP.In 1980’s Vitaly Slavin was a chief designer of target designation equipment ”Progress-N” for anti-radiation missiles Kh-31P, Kh-58 and Kh-25MP. A new generation of RWR in Su-25, Su-27, MiG-29, and An-70 aircraft defense systems is being developed under his leadership.
Since 1999 Vitaly V. Slavin is a member of the Chief Designers Board in Aerospace Equipment Corporation.
