Series 4 SDU-10U remote control system
The series 4 SDU-10U provides remote control of an airplane and ensures the level of stability & controllability characteristics required in longitudinal, cross-sectional, and yaw channels. The system is an exchange for the mechanical control circuit. Besides, to improve the airplane flight handling characteristics at big angles of attack, it activates the wing leading edge and slaved flaperons deflection automatic control unit. For preventing the pilot from exceeding limiting values of the angle of attack and acceleration, the SDU-10U is provided with a marginal mode limiting automatic control unit (OPR). The SDU-10U provides airplane stability while refilling. The system comprises the following channels: pitching, heading, roll, wing leading edge control channels, flaperons control channels, and marginal mode limiting automatic control channel (OPR).
The series 4 SDU-10U is installed on the Su-30K, Su-30MKK aircraft.
SDU-10MK remote control system
The SDU-10MK remote control system is a digital-analog system and is an exchange for the mechanical control circuit. The system ensures a high efficiency level of an airplane (at the expense of automatic limiting of marginal flight modes, control of an airplane both through basic, and auxiliary control surfaces, stability and controllability with the help of SDU contours. The SDU-10MK remote control system is used on the Su-MKI aircraft.
