C269 “Equinox” CPCI • Pentium IV Dual CPU, Ultra High Performance
New 2003

Description
The C269 “Equinox” from General Micro Systems (GMS) is the
first Dual Pentium IV High Performance Server focused on
embedded applications. It is the first product on the market to
fully utilize the features of the Xeon-LP Processor which provides
the performance of a desktop Pentium IV processor at half the
power consumption and supports a long life cycle (minimum of
five years). Further, the Xeon-LP supports Multi-Processing and
is Socketable. Therefore, it is upgradeable where the mobile
class processors are not. The C269 Equinox can function as a
high-performance server and is ideal for applications requiring
processor horsepower, exceptional bus speed and configurability.
The GMS C269 provides systems designers their
solution when requiring dual processors, dual gigabit for PSB,
mass storage capability, disk-less and dual mode CPCI bridging
capability for system/peripheral master functions as well as full
hot swap operations. These advantages make the C269 Equinox
the ideal choice for developing telecom test equipment, call
centers, military/aerospace command & control systems,
particularly those applications requiring power along with low
power consumption.
