Description:	In 1983 NIIP was charged to elaborate the radar control system for SU - 27 (SU - 35) airplane. T.O.Bekirbaev was appointed Chief designer. The requirements for the radar control system made provision for decision of new tasks in principle: * actual beam mapping, tight beam mapping, ground moving targets selection, terrain following; * military resources expansion by mutti - channel targets firing, including ground and marine. These problems were solved by using the slot antenna with hydraulic actuator in the radar station, missiles with the active radar seeker and special weapons for the ground targets. When the first export order for SU -30MKI was made, the equipment, was updated, the phased array was introduced instead of the slot antenna. Test flights confirmed potential characteristics
