Scientific-and-Production Association “State Institute of Applied Optics” (GIPO), the biggest Russian optical centre, possesses more than a 45-year experience in the developments of optical technologies.

For all these years the company has been successfully developing in-house technical and technological facilities as well as gaining the engineering experience in designing and manufacturing of a broad selection of diffraction optics (diffraction gratings, hologram and computer-generated optical elements) as well as aspherical optics.

The most important fields of activity of FGUP «NPO GIPO» are the following: thermal imaging devices, radiometric equipment, optical-electronic direction-finders, researches of the optical properties of the objects and backgrounds, metrological support for the thermal imaging and radiometric devices, optical coatings, diffraction optics, aspherical optical parts, infra-red objectives.
