Basic directions of activity

GIFAS, the Franch Aerospace Industries Association, includes 190 firms of varying importance engaged in the development, publication, maintenance and sales of civil and military aircraft, engines, missiles and space vehicles, including satellites, launch systems, equipment and associated sub-systems. GIFAS acts as a central organization, representative of the manufacturers, in dealing with national and international organizations and co-ordinator of members activities. GIFAS promotes the French aerospace industry and lobbies for its interest in national and international forums. On alternate years, GIFAS sponsors the International Paris Le Bourget Air and Space Show.
