Basic directions of activity

Aerosud is a private South African company, specialising in mechanical / aeronautical engineering. Aerosud (Pty) Ltd was formed in 1990 by the then key designers of the South African Rooivalk Combat Support Helicopter. Its most significant engineering achievement to date has been the lead role that it played in a development project, in cooperation with MARVOL company, aimed at the re-engineering of the South African Air Force Mirage III and Mirage F1 Fighters with the Russian Klimov SMR-95 engine based on RD-33 engine used in the MIG29 Fighter. Today deeply involved in civil as well as military aeronautical engineering projects our activities cover design, development, prototyping, manufacture and support. Special skills resident in Aerosud and its board base of established associated include customer-specific system upgrades and integration, life extension programs and variety of airline interiors products.
