I greet the participants and guests of the V-th International
Aerospace Show.
For a short period of time the show in Zhukovsky near Moscow
where the latest samples of the most advanced technology are dis-
played has obtained general recognition among specialists. It
became the aknowledged site of business contacts and conclusion
of mutually advantageous contracts. The show has won the love of spectators for whom it is an opportunity to see with their own
eyes modern aircraft on the ground and in the sky and to appraise
their beauty and consummate mastership of pilots.
The achievements of Russia in the development of aviation and cosmonautics, in the field of space exploration are generally recognized. Accumulated rich experience, unique scientific and technical base allow us to retain leading positions in the sphere of aerospace developments.
At the same time the future of the industry is in international cooperation. Development of partnership, realization of joint projects - all that will help to use to the full extent the potential not only of Russia but other participants of the aircraft market. The International aerospace show serves just this purpose.
I wish the show successful work and clean sky, and I wish you, my dear friends, health and success.
President of Russian Federation V.Putin.
