Zhukovsky is not far from Moscow. It is situated in the green zone of Moscow region. It is the town of aviation science. There are the Central Air-Hydrodynamic Research Institute, Flying-Test Institute and others. The population of our town is 132 000. The palace of culture, the grocery, the central post-office and a number of shops from the center of our town. When somebody comes to our place he sees a monument of the "Father" of Russian aviation. There always flowers at the foot of the monument. It a beautiful square you can enjoy your rest and chat with your friend about this or that. Our town is know in many countries abroad because of it's international air-show which take place here once in two year. It's unforgettable sight. If you go to our town by plane you'll arrive in airport. Bikovo, which is also located in our town. I'm pround of my town, it's people and it's traditions.

Tour round town

Good morning, ladies and gentlemen's. Welcome to our round Zhukovsky sightseeing tour. We're on a platform "Otdysch", now towards the town of Zhukovsky. We're turning left and you can see sanatorium "Otdysch". We're going straight ahead in Dzerginsky street. We're turning right and we're going straight ahead Chkalov street. Now we're turning left. On the left you can see the monument of N.E.Zhukovsky and on the right you can see Lenin square. We're going straight ahead in Frunze street. We're turning left and on the left you can see our Marya, and on the right TSAGY. We're going straight ahead Tupolev road.

A disaster in our town.

In July 2000 in Tupolev street near Gromov Square the hurricane started. It lasted for 10 minutes. In the park the wind pulled the trees out. The traffic was stopped. Luckily, nobody died in the hurricane.

Transport in our town.

Our town has got different transport: cars, rout taxis, buses. Zhukovsky isn't a big town, so you can walk. In our town there are rout taxis cost for a ticket 5 rubles. A bus ticket costs 4 rubles, but it's not very fast. You can buy a ticket on the bus. Mane rout taxis go from Gromov Sq. To Latskov street.

My route to school

I live about 6 kilometers from school. I don't walk to school. I go on the school bus.
