"I live in ZhukovskyЕ"

I live in the town of Zhukovsky. It is situated in the

Moscow region, not far from Moscow.

Our town is named after N.Y.Zhukovsky. He was a

famous scientist. Many people know him as Father of Russian

Aviation.

Our town is the centre of aviation, the town of science.

N.Y.Zhukovsky founded a famous research institution which is

famous all over the world.

I like our town. It is not very large, but it is nice and

green. The streets are wide. A lot of new houses are built in our

town every year.

There are fourteen schools, many libraries and cinemas,

a theatre and a casino in our town. Our theatre is young. It is

situated in Latskova street. In the Palace of Culture there is a

museum ofBazhenov, a famous architect. The streets in our

town are named after famous pilots, cosmonauts, scientists. The

buildings which are in Pushkin and Zhukovsky streets are the

oldest. They were built before the Great Patriotic War.

An interesting Mosaeroshow is traditionally held in

Zhukovsky. Guests from different parts of our country and from

other countries come to see different planes. They want to get

acquainted with the results of the institution's work. Besides, it

is a beautiful sight. I always visit Aeroshow with my friends. It

is very interesting. I can see many planes. I like it very much. I

have a lot of fun.

I like my town and do not want to leave it.
