Brief history |

The company was established in 1944 as a Special Design Bureau (OKB) on the basis of a production plant to develop mechanical instruments, transducers and sensing elements for aircraft. The company specialized in development and manufacture of altimeters, rate-of-climb and airspeed indicators, machmeters, pressure measuring instruments for monitoring engines and aircraft systems. In 1966 OKB was reformed into Moscow Instrument-Making Design Bureau ”Voskhod” (MPKB ”Voskhod”). Analog electronic air data systems, ground proximity warning system and crew life-support devices were developed in 1960s. Digital flight environment data systems, airborne and ground pressure meters on the basis of precision pressure transducers with high accuracy and long-term stability were designed in 1970-1980s. Since 1990s the company has been engaged in development of multifunctional instruments and devices on the basis of digital technologies that substitute whole units and systems. In 1994 MPKB ”Voskhod” was reformed into Joint-Stock Company ”Aeropribor-Voskhod”. Since 1997 the company has been a member of NPTs ”Technocomplex” Corporation. |
