Brief history of the Company Sukhoi |

| Company Sukhoi was established on August 26, 1998 at the direction of the President of the Russian Federation. The corporation consolidates the designer and service plants producing the `Su` type aircraft: `SUKHOI` Design Bureau (Moscow), Novosibirsk Aviation Production Association (NAPO), Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aviation Production Association (KnAAPO) and Scientific Production Corporation `Irkut`. Besides, it includes Taganrog Aviation Scientific/Technical Complex named after G.M.Beriev (TANTK) being a designer of amphibian aircraft. Company Sukhoi now is a powerful base to form a holding uniting both military and civil aviation sectors around basic programs. Thus Company Sukhoi possesses the needed resources to become the main body of the Russian industry consolidation in the XXI century. |
