Brief history of creation

The enterprise was founded on July 1, 1939. Everything started with the production of wooden aircraft propellers for military and civil planes. Then they began to produce airplanes which were widely used during World War II. Up to the end of 40s wooden aircraft with piston engines were produced: UT-2M and Po-2.
In 1949 they were replaced by aircraft made of metal with jet engines: Yak-14, Il-10M, Il-40. In 1956 new direction of production was determined - the production of helicopters. It is when creative cooperation of the enterprise with design bureau guided by M.L. Mil appeared. The first rotor-wing machine became Mi-1 helicopter. The experience of its serial production helped to master the production of heavy transport helicopters Mi-6, Mi-10, Mi-10K. |
